Junction is a SW facing site. It is a 220ft ridge with easy access from Lover’s Leap. The steep drop off produces cliff launch conditions. A hill a mile or so in front of launch seems to create chunky air. Prominent wind direction for this area is S/SE or N/NW so this site has limited potential.
It does have historical relevance as it was THE foot launch site in Texas in the 70s before Packsaddle opened.
Land at the Fairgrounds or the golf course. Locals are friendly. To get there, heading east on I-10, take the 1st Junction exit, turn left at the park before the fairgrounds. If all else fails, just ask a local where to find Lover’s Leap. (hint: use the map below)
