The Guads are at 1400ft AGL
The nicest feature of this site is the ability to fly and top land near camping areas. This makes it possible to do very little driving while you are there.
It is very remote. 70 miles to the nearest gas station or hospital. It is about 10 miles from Queen on Hwy 137. The Queen Store offers good burgers and has some basic supplies for sale.
This site is mainly flown on Presidents Day when there is an annual fly in.
Wind can get very strong. It is easy to let the very smooth air fool you of the velocity. This is some of the smoothest air I have ever launched in.
